Liqaa Ma’al Arab 44 Huzur continues with the previous session’s subject of how Huzur was treated by the Pakistani Government. In the paper it was said that Huzur had fled the country after he committed the murder, but the murder had not yet been discovered as no body had been found at this stage. A demand was made that Mirza Tahir Ahmad should be declared an absconder, also a letter was sent to General Zia by the son of the man who was suppose to have been murdered, the letter asked that the search should be widened and that Mirza Tahir Ahmad should be shot dead. After five years it was at first said that the mullah had returned of his own accord, after hiding in Pakistan for ten months. He could not explain why he had been in hiding, even though he knew that Ahmadis were getting tortured and beaten up because of his disappearance. The statement eventually given was ‘[he] could not remain in a country where the name of the Holy Prophet(saw) is dishonoured.’ The mullahs then tried to get the public sympathy by publishing articles speaking of how wounded the mullah is due to his ordeal, they said that Huzur had driven nails into him. It then was said that the mullah was actually hiding in Iran where he was recognised and taken forcible back to Pakistan. At first the claimed that he flied because he could not stand to remain in Pakistan, but then he said that the Ahmadis abducted him and tortured him, even Ahmadi women were included in his claim of torture. Only one newspaper published in Rawalpindi published that it was totally ridiculous what was happening and that the whole time the Maulana’s knew that the so called Maulana was alive and living in Iran. Even though the Maulana knew they still did not tell anyone, even though they also knew that people were getting dragged into the streets and their homes were burned and much chaos surrounded the Ahmadis. Huzur says that many Ahmadis are on trial and many Ahmadi lawyers have given much time and effort to fight for their Ahmadi brothers, and none have received any money for their efforts. Huzur says that it only happens in Pakistan because the Government have given into the mullahs.
