Travel Through The Earth - Khanqah-e-Amburik

Khanqah-e-Amburik is one of the oldest places of worship in Baltistan, made by Hazarat Ameer Kabir Hamdani R.A nearly 700 years ago with the help of Kashmiri architects. It is situated at Shigar, a junction to the famous Karakoram range. It is a one-story wooden-made building as well as among the famous landmarks in Baltistan. Whereas Khilingrong mosque lies in Shigar town in the vicinity of Shigar fort, over 400 years old was restored with the help of Agha Khan Foundation, architecture is influenced by Tibetan and Xinjiang the woodwork at the mosque is exquisite.
